Y'shua (Jesus) said "So the Son of Man is Lord also of the Sabbath" (Mark 2:28).
If we look back to Leviticus 23:3 "Six days will your
work be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath, a Sabbath of rest, a holy convocation. You will do no work; it is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings"
Therefore
the Sabbath belongs to God. It is a day for God. When Y'shua said He
was the Lord of the Sabbath, he was saying that He was God. A seemingly
simple statement in the New Testament will have more meaning if we refer
to the "Old" Testament.
Y'shua and the Father are one. One God. Our arms and legs are part of us but we are one of the same person.
